Embarking on our mission journey through Cambodia and Thailand, we've witnessed the transformative power of God's love in action. The Holy Spirit is definitely at work in Southeast Asia. Yet, amidst our endeavors, we've encountered the fierce opposition described in 1 Peter 5:8-9, that spiritual warfare is real; the devil works harder than ever to derail those closest to God.
In moments of fear and uncertainty, faced with the prospect of surgery in Chiang Mai, Thailand, a crucial decision confronted me: to succumb to fear or to seek God's guidance through prayer. Through the unwavering support of our global community, united in prayer, we witnessed God's miraculous intervention, reaffirming His promise to protect His children, as expressed in 2 Thessalonians 3:3. In times of distress, we find solace in the refuge of God's name, as affirmed in Proverbs 18:10, knowing that He strengthens and protects us.
Praying during our most challenging times says, "Not today, devil," while building our endurance, strengthening our character, and deepening our intimacy with God. God always wins!

Tim, It is such a blessing to be part of a team with you and the invitation you bring to us that we might pray for you. It was and is so very scary, but we are learning to better trust God with all our challenges. Sometimes even these challenges are the point of why God calls us on a mission trip with himself!
